Transformer replacement at Manikata substation

16.03.2023

In a substation at Manikata, an 800 kVA transformer is being replaced with another one having a capacity of 1000 kVA.

The new transformer is equipped with an on-load tap changer. This enables the voltage to change in accordance with the network’s requirements without switching off the transformer. In this way, consumer voltage can be adjusted to meet daily demands; consumer demand and the energy produced by the PV panel in the affected area.

While the necessary works are being conducted, residents and nearby businesses are being supplied with electricity from a generator thus minimizing power interruptions.
