Substations are critical network nodes within the electrical distribution system. The equipment at the substations needs to be kept in good working order to avoid interruptions in the supply of electricity.
Our engineering and technical teams follow a rigorous maintenance plan that includes approximately 2000 substations distributed across various localities.
During these scheduled maintenance works, all substation equipment, including the transformers and switchgear, are inspected. Such works typically entails transformer oil changes where necessary, replacement of equipment and cleaning.
In order to safeguard our employee’s wellbeing, during such works the substation is put out of service. Before conducting such works, we inform the affected customers about the temporary outage which lasts until the planned maintenance works are completed.
